LESSON 1: Policies and issues on internet and implications to teaching and learning.
LESSON 2: Safety issues on the use of ICT
It is to formulate and implement policies to guide appropriate decisions. "policy" is defined as a course of action adopted as advantageous:a plan of action to guide decision and achieve outcomes - adopted and pursued by a government, party, ruler, statesman. ICT policies include principles' and guidelines which cover three main areas: telecommunications: broadcasting and internet. Technology is a phenomenon that seems to be uncontrollable despite the so many benefits for teaching and learning there are some risks in the use of ICT and e-networking.
ICT policies help schools use technology by setting rules for what types of tech to use, how to budget for it, and how to build the necessary infrastructure. They aim to give all students equal access, address existing gaps, and emphasize the importance of continuous teacher training. These policies require schools to include digital skills in their curriculum and teach students how to behave responsibly online. Having the right infrastructure and balancing new tech with rules is important. Policies need to be flexible and updated often. In summary, they support fairness, teacher training, digital skills, and innovation to improve learning.
