FedEx witnessed a wave of cyber attacks in recent years.
Some of them were for ransom and some were to tarnish the image of the company in the market. In late June 2017 FedEx experienced a cyberattack, by a ransomware known as (NotPetya). This Cyberattack freeze users’ computers, encrypted their files and demanded a ransome of $300 billion in Bitcoin.
To tackle such cyberattacks, various measures have been taken by the company.

McAfee antivirus software and anti-spyware software have been incorporated into FedEx.
The company integrated with Oracle and used its Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) for more data security.
Cyber Security training programs are conducted for the employees to train them against cyberattacks.
FedEx has subscribed itself to Cyberattack insurance to insulate the company from the potential loss of profit from cyberattacks.
