Dear Students
Hope all of you are doing fine in ITE!
I would like to guide you on Opportunity Fund for PC Subsidy (OF-PC). If you are keen to own a PC/Laptop/Tablet and you are eligible for the PC Subsidy, this is definitely a great opportunity for you to do so while you can own a laptop and have subsidy from school.
Please refer to the information below on how to apply, criteria, check your eligibility, options available and claim procedures.
If you have any other enquiries, you may drop a WhatsApp message to Ms Pang Siew Luan at http://wa.me/6564329924.
Wish you all the best in ITE!

OPTIONS AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE
Student who is eligible to claim OF-PC subsidy can choose any of the two options to purchase the IT device
Retail Shops
IHL Tenders
Please read through the two options below to decide which is more suitable for you. Do take note of the different payment/claim process too.
Option (1) Buying a PC/Laptop/Tablet from Retail Shops or Online Platforms
Pros: Student can select any PC/Laptop/Tablet of their choice
Cons: Student will have to pay upfront for the full amount and submit original receipt to claim for reimbursement
How To Buy
Student may wish to buy the IT devices via online platform or at physical shop as long as the company is locally registered and able to provide invoice/receipt.
Student can also make purchase via online shopping app, i.e Lazada, Shopee, etc as long as the company is locally registered and able to provide invoice/receipt.
How to Claim
Please follow the guide below for OFPC claim submission.
Log in to your Student Portal at www.ite.edu.sg > Student Login > Student Homepage > Financial Assistance > OFPC Claim Submission > Fill in Claim Details.
After the submission in Student Portal, you will still need to submit all ORIGINAL invoice/receipt for claims at the Dropbox at Student Services Centre (Administration Block Level 1, Beside CVC). Please write Student's Name, NRIC number and Contact number on the invoice/receipt.
For online purchase, we will need the order page showing all item and purchase details, confirmation page and payment proof (ibanking statement showing that payment has been made).
To Note: Invoices and receipts dated more than 3 months prior to the date of submission are not eligible for claims.
Amount That You Can Claim
The claim amount is 80% of cost price, capped at $1100. The reimbursed amount will be credited to your bank account within 2 months upon submission of completed set of documents.
Option (2) Buying a Desktop/Laptop/Tablet under IHL Tender
Pros: Student does not need to pay full amount of cost price but to pay the balance after deducting the OF-PC subsidy.
Cons: Student can only choose available model of Laptop/Tablet from the selected vendors
How To Buy
Student may wish to buy the available model of Desktop/Laptop/Tablet from selected vendors under the IHL tender listed below.
Keppel Technology Solutions Pte. Ltd.
https://e-shop-hp.asiapac.com.sg/
NUS Multi-purpose Co-op
https://e-shop-lenovo.asiapac.com.sg/
Acer Computer (Singapore) Pte Ltd
https://store.acer.com/en-sg/ite
Student should visit the website of respective vendors to select a Desktop/Laptop/Tablet of choice and make order directly at the website. Student should inform vendor that you are under the OF-PC subsidy at ITE College East.
>> It is recommended that you check with vendor on the availability of the device before making the order.
Amount That You Can Claim
The claim amount is 80% of cost price, capped at $1100. Student is expected to pay the balance of the cost price less subsidy upon delivery of Desktop/Laptop/Tablet. Student need not submit invoice/receipt to ITE.
Example A:
If the listed price of your PC/Laptop/Tablet is $1,300
Listed price = $1,300
80% x $1,300 = $1,040
You pay 20% ($1,300 - $1,040) = $260
As 80% of the purchase price did not exceed the subsidy cap of S$1,100, you are only required to pay the remaining 20%. In this case, you will need to pay the vendor $260. ITE will pay the subsidy of $1,040 directly to the vendor.
Example B:
If the listed price of your PC/Laptop/Tablet is $1,400
Listed price = $1,400
80% x $1,400 = $1,120 (Exceeded subsidy of $1,100)
You pay ($1,400 - $1,100) = $300
Although 80% of the purchase price is $1,120, it has exceeded the subsidy cap of $1,100.
Hence you will need to pay the vendor $300. ITE will pay the subsidy of $1,100 directly to the vendor.
Please select Payment Method as "FAS" or "PC SUBSIDY" when you order online.
Important: You need to liaise directly with the vendor for any enquires on and not limited to ordering, delivering, warranty, specs, payment or cancellation.
ITE will not be responsible for any disputes between student and vendor.
