Each year, ISUISU welcomes passionate, responsible, and committed students to step up and become part of the Executive Board through a transparent election process. Here’s how it works:
Executive Board nominee registration opens in two phases. Priority is given in this order:
1 – Current ISRs and Executive Board members
2 – Deputy ISRs and Deputy Vice Presidents
After both stages, other interested students may apply.
There are two ways to enter the election:
Self-nomination
Nomination by recommendation
After completing the registration, candidates will be contacted by the Election Committee and asked to submit a short introduction video or post outlining their goals. These will be shared on Instagram (@isu_ishou). Candidates may also promote their campaign only during the official campaign period. Any campaigning before or after this period is strictly prohibited.
Each nationality may only have one person elected for the EB. If one candidate of a given nationality wins, others from the same country are automatically disqualified.
Voting will take place in this order:
President (Main Campus)
Vice President (Main Campus)
Vice President – Marketing Team
Vice President – Student Affairs Team
Vice President – Academic Affairs Team
Vice President – Membership Team
Vice President – Finance Team
Vice President – Audit Team
Voting is carried out by one designated ISR representative from each country to ensure fairness. Each representative may vote for one candidate or abstain. In cases where a position has only one candidate, ISRs will vote Yes or No to confirm the appointment. Eliminated candidates will move on to the Interview Round in the case of no competition.
If no candidate is nominated or elected for a specific position, an Interview Round will be opened.
Previously eliminated nominees and any interested student may apply.
Applicants will undergo an interview with both the current and newly elected Executive Board members.
Final selection will be based on the candidate’s qualifications, attitude, and vision for the role.
This round ensures that all leadership roles are filled with capable and committed individuals, even in the absence of an election winner.
The Executive Board term runs from November to October (1 year / 2 semesters).
Please consider your availability carefully, especially if you plan to join an exchange program or internship.
Only current Executive Board members are eligible to run for the President and Vice President (Main Campus) positions.
For duties of each position, please refer to our Bylaws posted in ISUISU website:
