"The Power of Imagery in StoryTelling ~ Creating the Essence of Story Through Voice, Image, Music, Sound, and Effects"


Imagery is a key element in StoryTelling done Digitally. Creative use of Voice, Images, Music, Sound, and Effects to showcase the Essence of the Story elevates student thinking to the highest levels of Blooms. Once the Essence of the Story is determined, the storyboard becomes the student director’s guide as they find those "just right" resources to create that mood or tone for their audience. Providing students opportunities to play with the power of image develops critical creative thinking skills. This session will focus on activities like photo stories, 6 word memoirs, and others to help students use image to elevate their ideas and their stories and inspire them to think. Images can change perception, influence thought, and inspire. Learning how to create or use an image to move the audience in a desired direction is a powerful skill.

"Digital Storytelling with Fairytales across the Curriculum"
