About Us

Originally named the Science and Math Network, in September 2015 we changed the name to STEM to include technology and engineering. Today, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) is one of the more important topics in education, and we wanted to ensure that ISTE members have a community in which they can share ideas, ask and respond to questions, and learn from each other about all things STEM. The purpose of the STEM Network is to connect science, technology, engineering, and mathematics educators to discuss, explore, and share best practices, research, and experience in STEM teaching and learning, supported by authentically using technology.
