More on the Olympiad
In 2003, the IOL was held for the first time in Borovetz, Bulgaria. After 20 years, the 20-th Olympiad is once again taking place in Bulgaria!
This year, 50+ teams representing countries from all over the world, will be participating in the International Linguistics Olympiad in Bansko, a town and ski resort in southwest Bulgaria.

First-ever Israeli team at the IOL
Israel has only participated once in the IOL, in 2012.
That year, a team of 4 high-school Israeli students,

took part in the 1oth IOL in Ljubljana, Slovenia under the sponsorship of General Motors and University of Haifa.
