Important submission updates - 30th March 2026
Abstract submission are now closed, all submissions have been reviewed by our Scientific Committee, and notifications have been sent out to all who submitted oral, poster or workshop abstracts. You should have received a generic email notification from Oxford Abstracts for each of your abstract submissions to indicate whether the named submission has been accepted or rejected. Please check your spam or junk if you do not receive this information. In addition you should have received a supplemental general information email from ISPW2026@ucc.ie outlining important next steps, including the need for at least one author per accepted submission to register by 10th April 2026, and attend the conference. Assigned presentation times will be sent out at the end of May.
Due to the exceptionally high numbers of submission, we are managing a reserve waitlist - the places in the programme of those who have not registered for the conference by 10th April 2026 will instead be offered to the next abstract on the reserve list by 15th April 2026.
Please note the following information:
Oral Presentations are 12-minute presentations with 3-minute discussion and will run in parallel sessions throughout the conference. Please present using a slide show format.
Posters should be A0 portrait orientation (vertical) (841mm wide, 1189mm tall). Each poster will be a talking poster, where 4 minutes is oral presentation and 4 minutes is questions/answers. All posters will be put on display on the first full day of the conference, and remain up for public viewing. An optional poster printing service is available, and further information will be provided about this in the coming weeks.
Workshops are interactive 90-minute sessions with diverse small-group activities to showcase, build, and integrate knowledge, skills, and attitudes related to pharmacy education and research. These are sessions designed to share topics that benefit from active engagement and audience discussion.

The overarching theme for ISPW 2026, “Pharmacy First, People Foremost,” emphasizes the vital role of pharmacists in advancing patient-centered and sustainable healthcare. Submissions are encouraged under the following thematic areas:
Pharmacist-led healthcare: Exploring the expanding clinical and public health responsibilities of pharmacists.
Interprofessional healthcare: Highlighting collaboration across healthcare disciplines to optimize patient outcomes.
Person-centered healthcare: Focusing on individual needs, experiences, and empowerment in care delivery.
Sustainable healthcare: Addressing environmental, social and economic sustainability in pharmacy practice.
The future of pharmacy: Envisioning innovations, technologies, and evolving roles that will shape the profession in years to come.
Your abstract should not exceed 250 words, excluding authors, affiliations, but including section headers. (i.e., background, methods, results, and conclusion).
We encourage workshops with multiple authors. You will be asked to submit the objective, number of participants, length, content, structure, and activities.
We hope you are excited to share your research and science as part of ISPW 2026. Please submit early, as space is limited.
If you would like examples of prior ISPW submissions, please take a look at prior conference abstracts from the 21st ISPW in 2022 and 20th ISPW in 2018.
Accepted abstracts will be published in Research in Social and Administrative Pharmacy (RSAP).
