Upon entering the library, the client should sign the log sheet then deposit belongings (except wallet, cellular phones, and other valuable things) on the baggage area/counter.
Converse in a low tone voice must be observed at all times, and mobile phones must be in a silent mode.
The library is only for research and study.
*Discussions must be done outside the library.
*Eating, sleeping, and littering are not allowed in the library. Always maintain the cleanliness of the library.
Use your own library ID card in any transactions in the library.
Decent behavior is expected at all times in the library.
Books and other materials are to be handled with care and must be returned properly after use.
Examine books and other materials carefully before borrowing them. Clipping, cutting, or marking any library material or property is subject to disciplinary action. Report to the librarian any discovery of such.
Put things in order before leaving the library.
Be courteous when borrowing and returning books and other materials.
Books returned with missing/torn pages will be the responsibility of the last borrower. A borrower should therefore inspect book pages before reading.
Books are to be used properly. Tearing, writing on them, or using them as a writing board to be avoided.
Fines will be imposed for those who failed to return borrowed books on the due date.
All borrowed books and other library materials must be returned properly before the end of the semester. Borrowing books for home use is not allowed 1 week before the clearance period.
A student may borrow books for home use for one night/overnight subject to renewal if there is no demand for them by another client.
1. The use of computer/internet facility is available during the official time scheduled:
8:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. (Monday to Friday)
1:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M. (Monday to Friday)
2. Present the Library ID card to the librarian and claim it before leaving the library.
3. Sign in on the log sheet provided before you start operating the assigned terminal.
4. The internet is intended primarily for RESEARCH PURPOSES. Hence, email transmission and opening Facebook account are discouraged.
5. Students should not access sites that morally detrimental such as pornography.
7. Students should never use the network in sending flame letters/messages.
8.The use of the terminal is on a "FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS. "
10. Sanction will be imposed for any misuse of Internet Facilities.
11. Damages incurred by the user at the internet Terminal will be charged to the user's account.
12. Only one student is allowed per terminal, viewers are discouraged.
13. Please return your chairs properly before leaving.
14. Students are bound by the rules and regulations of the internet.
The length of borrowing and quantity of materials borrowed by students and faculty/staff should be based on the size of the collection, the needs of the school, and the availability of reliable shelves.
Who Can Borrow What and For How Long:
ISPSC faculty, staff, and students can borrow library material from the College Library for home use.
ISPSC students may borrow library materials for home use so long as they have their Library ID Card.
Students may borrow books overnight from General Circulation, Filipiniana, and Senior High School, and One (1) week for the fiction books. However, a faculty member may borrow books from the said section for one (1) semester. Other library materials are for library use only.
A faculty member may borrow up to five (5) book titles for a semester and up to three (3) book titles for a student overnight.
A student and faculty from other campuses of ISPSC can borrow library materials for library use only even without a referral from the campus librarian provided that s/he has a valid school ID.
Students and faculty from other schools/institutions can borrow library materials for library use only so long as they have a referral from their librarian and present a valid ID.
Guidelines in Borrowing Books and Library Materials
Students, faculty, and staff of the Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College are entitled to borrow books and other instructional materials;
All books and other instructional materials borrowed from the library shall be returned to the library before its due date. A fine of 10 pesos will be charged from the borrower for every overdue item. Borrowing privileges for students with overdue books may be canceled or limited.
Lost or damaged library materials borrowed shall be paid by the borrower at the prevailing price or maybe replaced upon mutual agreement of the borrower and the librarian. An additional administration fee of fifty pesos(Php 50.00) shall be charged for every item lost;
Only students, faculty, and staff with no overdue loans can borrow books from the library.
