Teacher Printer Setup
Connect to a Wireless Printer
Teachers MUST use Microsoft Edge to successfully link to a networked printer.
Open Microsoft Edge and click the favorites menu (the star symbol in the top right).
Go to Managed Favorites and scroll down to Network Printer Management. Click it.
Find your desired printer by building and room number. There are three pages and you may need to scroll all the way down and view the Next 100 Printers.
Once you have found and selected the printer, choose Connect on the left side of the screen.
Click Yes on the pop up menu. You are now connected.
Set Default Printer
Go to the Windows search bar (the search box at the bottom of the screen).
Type in "printer" and click the "Printers & scanners" button
Look for the printer you want as the default and click it. Choose "manage."
Click "Set as default" and close the window. You are finished.
Change Print Settings
Go to "File" in the top right and select "Print."
Check to ensure the desired settings are chosen (i.e. double sided, orientation, etc.)
If you are still having issues take a look at the printer defaults by following the directions below.
In the Windows search bar type "printers" and select "Printers & scanners."
Left click your printer and choose "Manage." Then click "Printing preferences" on the left.
Check to make sure these settings match your needs.
