1. 3-Call to Contest
To contest for a player gore you must 3 call. If the party takes more than 15 seconds to respond you may continue the contest and attack. If they 4 call or a body drops the fighting stops!
2. Forfeit a Contest
If either party in a contest 2 calls, 4 calls, or 5 calls OR they leave line of sight of the gore they forfeit the challenge and are to be left alone.
3. Accept/Deny a Contest
To accept a contest you must 3 call. To refuse you must 2, 4, or 5 call
4. Gore Out of Reach
If a player gore is out of reach, for example on a rock, and you cannot reach it to claim it you may not hunt or contest the owners or if unowned claim the gore to protect you or your pack and must find food elsewhere. In short, if you can't reach a gore to eat it you are not protected by it.
5. Omnivores
Omnivores must follow all hunting and contesting rules while in omnivore-only groups. When in a herd IF they win a fight they claim the gore. When contested, unlike carnivores, they may not fight to keep their player gore. Omnivores may not hunt if they are within a mixed herd. For example, a coah and pachy can be grouped and still hunt but once a herbivore joins them they may not. See more in omnivore-rules
6. Scavengers
If a scavenger is on a spawn gore or egg they are protected as if it were a player gore. All dinos must challenge them! For more see carnivore-rules
7. Legs
Legs do not give protection. This includes legs from player gores.
1. Log Timer
You may not hunt or be hunted for 2 minutes after logging into the server. You must let players know in local when you have just spawned in
2. Scentless Dinos
Do not hunt scentless dinos. You may, however, attack back if they attack you first. This does not count for aquatics (because it is hard to smell without being seen) or scavengers. All fresh spawn aquatics can be hunted while in water as you cannot smell them.
3. Restart Grace Period
Before every restart there is a grace period of 10 minutes. You may not start any new hunts or contests during this time. You may, however, finish a hunt/contest during this time as long as it started before those 10 minutes.
4. No Scouting
No scouting for yourself or other players. This means you can't use one dino to find people then switch to another or use a dino to tell people where a person or group is You may not hunt the group you just left for 30 Minutes and they are not permitted to hunt you as this would fall under scouting. In addition to this, you may not be followed by your former group and you may not follow them
5. No Self-feeding
This means you can't kill your own dino or egg with the purpose of feeding yourself. This does not include breaking your own eggs because you don't want them anymore. They may be eaten.
6. Engagement Timers
You must follow engagement timers. These timers are in place so you do not kill entire groups within seconds. After each engagement of the same group, the timers will get longer. Timers begin when you finish the gore. The timers reset when you hunt a different group. After finishing a player gore you must wait at least 10 minutes before hunting another group as to not KOS the entire server. Engagement 1: 10 minutes Engagement 2: 30 minutes Engagement 3: 1 hour After 3 engagements you must hunt another group 3 times/wait 2 hours before hunting the same group again. For example: You hunt a herd 3 times. You must now find a new group and hunt them 3 times before being able to hunt the first herd. You may also wait 2 hours to hunt again.
7. One Body Down
When a body drops all fighting must stop. If the fight was carnivore versus carnivore or carnivore versus omnivore the winning person/pack takes the gore. This includes aquatics and flyers as well.
8. Legging Gore
You may NOT leg a player gore to finish it faster so you can hunt again. You may however, take ONE leg off at a time.
9. No Sharing
You cannot share gore, healthy flowers, bias items, fat plants etc. outside of your group. this will be classified as mix-packing
10. Intense Weather
During intense weather dinos of different groups AND different factions may huddle together under shelter. When the storm is over no one from that shelter may be hunted by those they shared it with for 3 minutes. You also may not be followed out of the shelter for those 3 minutes
11. No Necro-Bombing
This means putting gores next to herbivores to force them to move or cause stress of any kind. You may have a player gore moved away by an admin from the group you hunted/away from a herd if you cannot carry it yourself. You may also ask an admin to check the weight of the gore if you are unsure if you can move it. Herbivores may also request that gore be moved away from them if there is no carnivore or omnivore to claim it.
12. Player Gore Protection
Player gores only protect you while they're *fresh and you are sitting, laying down, or walking with it. This means you can be hunted if it no longer says it's very fresh when sniffed or when you walk away from the gore to get water, crystals, flowers, etc. Eggs and spawn gores only count as player gore for scavengers. If any non-scavenger dino eats an egg or claims a spawn gore they can still be hunted regardless if they claimed it or not. Scavengers mix-packing no longer receive hunt immunity from eggs and spawn gores which means if they choose to eat one while packed with non-scavenger dinos they can be hunted regardless. (For example: A rex and Velo pack together, the Velo is not protected by the spawn gore they are eating but a Velo packed with a Megara can still claim spawn gores and eggs)
13. Do Not Leave Your Player Gore
You may not leave a player gore except under these circumstances. + You are being killed by intense weather + You forfeit a challenge + The tide covers it + You have to leave You are not permitted to log out with a claimed player gore UNLESS there is an emergency or you have to leave for a prior engagement. This MUST be stated in global. You may, however, log if other members of your pack are still remaining at the body.
14. No Combat Logging
If you are in the middle of combat you may not log out of the game unless you are able to escape line of sight AND complete your timer without being attacked or chased down.
15. No Baiting
This means you can't be friendly in any way then turn around and hunt the player you were friendly with. Before hunting the player you 2 called or said you won't hunt in chat you must be out of line of sight for at least 3 minutes. If even one member of your group is friendly you must abide by this rule.
16. Herbivore Aggression
Herbivores MAY NOT initiate combat unless; a carnivore is too close to their nests, has been following them for 5 minutes, a carnivore is crouching at them or mock biting or the carnivore is at all aggressive. Before attacking you must warn the carnivore with at least two 3 calls or in local chat to leave
17. Combat starts;
Combat doesn't start till a blow is landed by a participant. This means either side must take damage before combat has started. This means before someone is hit players have a chance to log. During combat Scavengers may not steal eggs or babies whether they are part of the combat or not. No third parties may interfered or be dragged into the combat
18. No Meshing
No meshing. This includes but is not limited to hiding your body in parts of the map, mesh biting, using mesh to hide eggs, biting through an object, etc.
19. No Interfering Or Switching Targets
You may not initiate combat with parties that are already fighting. This means anyone that stumbles upon a fight CANNOT interfere. This includes scavengers wanting to baby snatch or egg snatch You may not switch targets in the middle of combat. This means starting a hunt with one group/person then attacking a different group/person that wanders into the area.
