In this module we learned the various forces on a building and studied a load bearing structure and framed structure in detail, along with that we also researched on the various construction materials used in a building
We each did two case studies one of a framed structure and one of load bearing so for framed structure we chose the building of School of Environment and Architecture located in Mumbai and for load bearing structure we studied the Tower of Shadows in Chandigarh, We made sketches of both buildings and studied their structural systems and load transfer in detail.Â
