In this module we learned how to use architectural softwares for the very first time. It was very interesting to learn them because it was something I was always curious about. Using these softwares was a lot of fun, it was quicker than hand drafting and helped us imagine space is a completely different way. Precision was the key point of all of them. Spending time experimenting with different tools, drawing simple shapes, and exploring various features helped me build my confidence in using the softwares. Sketchup was a fun software to learn, I felt like a kid exploring and making buildings. The push and pull botton was the easiest one. The orbit tool gave a good sense of space. I found joy in experimenting with different tools and techniques, which gradually increased the software’s vast potential for creativity. One thing I really liked about this particular software was the fact that we were able to look at our building from all sides so it was really nice to see our house sort of come to life. The shadows part was also very interesting because we were able to choose the time of the day and the month of the year. The concept of photoshop revolved around creating an environment around our house, and once it was done we were able to imagine the house not only as a 3d house but as an entire space. At the end of this module we curated all our works in a book which was made by using the indesign software, overall it was a very interesting experience learning these softwares.
