OUTREACH ACTIVITIES

One of the three major functions of higher education is EXTENSION.

ISCOF has been and is actively engaged in implementing extension programs/projects, through the dissemination and application of new technology and knowledge resulting from ISCOF’s research that is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals. ISCOF’s extension projects aim to apply knowledge, address poverty, and improve the community's quality of life. ISCOF works with local and international partners in the following areas of focus: quality education, food security, sustainable agri-fishery development, and social upliftment.


To date, a total of 53 research-based extension programs and projects have been initiated and implemented. There are two existing demo farms for agriculture and fisheries programs. These serve as the training ground for extension activities as well as TESDA assessment center. ISCOF has 7 partner barangays beneficiaries of its extension programs and projects. Approximately 60% of students, 85% of faculty and 99% of the beneficiaries have participated in the community outreach programs and initiatives of the College.


Furthermore, ISCOF's Extension Services Unit is committed to provide capability building training to the faculty and its implementors. As part of it Continuing Education. Selected faculty were sent to attend various trainings and symposia. During the symposia, 15 completed projects were presented and received awards.
