The Animal Ecobiology Laboratory (LEBA) conducts high-quality multidisciplinary research in the field of animal ecobiology. Its main research axes include the effects of toxicity and environmental adaptations in both vertebrates and invertebrates, the study and monitoring of biodiversity and biomass, the evaluation of biological quality in both terrestrial (soil) and aquatic ecosystems, as well as the evolutionary dynamics of biodiversity with a focus on paleobiodiversity.
