This project was about learning how people in different countries use technology and what their populations are like. We both researched things like internet use, languages, and age groups to better understand how technology affects people's lives in each place.
The locations we chose were South Africa and Thailand. I worked on South Africa, and my partner worked on Thailand.
One interesting fact I learned is that South Africa has 12 official languages, and even though English is not the most spoken language at home, it is still widely used in technology, business, and education.
For artifacts, we created a Word document and a PowerPoint presentation that show our research and findings about both countries. Issac - Jason - South Africa & Thailand.pptx
From this project, I learned more about how technology use can be different depending on the country and its population. I also learned how important it is to research from reliable sources. I also got to see what others project's looked like in class. Working with my partner helped me practice communication and teamwork. We shared our ideas and made sure both parts of the project connected well together. Overall, this project helped me better understand global technology and collaboration and how not everyone has constant internet access like we have here.
