Mark 2

Background -

The Mark 2 was the first suit Tony built free from his capture, after discontinuing Stark Industries weapon manufacturing he funneled his funds into a new project. The Mark 2 was mainly designed around controlling its flight, This is also the first suit we see with an interactive HUD and "Jarvis" Tony's AI companion. Made with all of Tony's available materials this was the blueprint for his suits to come.

Capabilities -

Super Soldier Abilities: The suit provides superhuman Strength Durability and Stamina due to a powered exoskeleton that multiplies Tony Stark’s base capabilities.

Increased Agility and Reflexes: In this suit Tony has more control over his body, allowing him to react and move faster in flight and on the ground.

High-Altitude Flight Capability: The Mark II can fly to extremely high altitudes at supersonic speeds. However, the armor initially lacked protection against freezing at those heights.

Defense: This suit contains a Uni Beam from his chest's Arc Reactor along with Repulsors on each hand, though for this suit they are not calibrated for offense, the suit is bulletproof and protects Tony from environmental effects (proven by his unknowingness of the icing problem at high altitudes).

Aftermath -

While Tony moved onto the Mark III his best friend James Rhodes confiscated this Mark and handed it over to the United States Armed Force after Tony became drunk and arrogant at his birthday party caused by his impending death due to the poisoning from his Arc Reactor, From this Mark it would continue to be evolved by the U.S. to fully arm it and customize it being a mascot for the U.S. ultimately giving a taste of what iron man had and the genius hes implemented.
