The Publication section outlines the recognised channels through which research outputs presented at the International Real Estate Research Symposium (IRERS 2026) are disseminated.
IRERS adopts a structured and transparent publication framework that supports the dissemination of scholarly and professional work while upholding the principles of academic quality, editorial independence, and publication ethics. All publication outcomes are subject to the respective review, selection, and editorial processes of the relevant publication outlets.
The publication pathways for IRERS comprise:
Scopus-Indexed Journal Publication, subject to journal selection and editorial review; and
IRERS Conference Proceedings (ISSN), serving as the official record of accepted and presented papers.
Further details on each publication category are provided in the subpages below.
Selected papers presented at IRERS may be considered for publication in Scopus-indexed journals, subject to the policies, scope, and independent editorial assessment of the respective journals.
For IRERS 2026, selected papers are intended to be considered for publication in the Planning Malaysia Journal (PMJ), subject to compliance with the journal’s editorial standards, review procedures, and publication requirements.
Authors are advised that:
Acceptance for presentation at IRERS does not constitute automatic journal publication;
All submissions are subject to editorial review and revision, where applicable; and
Updates on publication status will be communicated to authors in due course, in accordance with the journal’s standard processes.
Further information is available in the Scopus-Indexing section.
All accepted and presented papers at IRERS are eligible for publication in the IRERS Conference Proceedings (ISSN), subject to compliance with the prescribed formatting and submission requirements.
The IRERS Proceedings serve as an official archival record of the symposium and document research and professional contributions presented across successive IRERS editions. The proceedings encompass a wide range of real estate-related themes, including valuation, urban development, investment, sustainability, land governance, and digital transformation.
Previous IRERS publications are provided in the IRERS Proceeding section.
