I was born and raised in a vibrant village in Noakhali district, Bangladesh, in a close-knit family nurtured by my devoted parents alongside six siblings. My childhood was filled with the joys of village life, where my friends and I honed our skills in swimming, cricket, racing, football, badminton, and other traditional sports without formal coaching.
I am an alumnus of the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh's premier public university. Following my undergraduate studies, I served as a researcher at icddr,b, the nation's leading research institute, and later as a Lecturer of Biology at Dhaka City College. I pursued advanced studies at Claflin University and the University of Florida, where I earned my PhD in Medical Sciences.
Currently, I serve as Senior Research Scientist and Multiomics Data Science Team Leader at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, the world's top-ranked cancer institute. I am also the founder of the Center for Multiomics Research, dedicated to advancing integrative biomedical research.
