Participants learned how Research Rabbit can suggest relevant papers, authors, and research topics, helping researchers explore new ideas and trends more effectively. The tool's ability to visualize connections between papers was highlighted as a significant advantage in understanding the broader research landscape.
Mendeley is a comprehensive reference management tool. The workshop demonstrated how Mendeley can organize research papers, generate citations, and collaborate with other researchers. Its AI-powered features, such as automatic metadata extraction and suggestion of related documents, were elucidated. The final tool discussed was Consensus, an AI tool designed to provide evidence-based answers to research questions. The workshop illustrated how Consensus can quickly synthesize research findings from multiple papers, enabling researchers to make informed decisions and identify consensus in the literature. This tool was particularly noted for its ability to save time in literature review and decision-making processes.
The hands-on sessions enabled faculty members to explore these tools and enhance their understanding of their practical applications in research.
