βοΈ 50 professional artists working in the 2 dimensional mediums of painting and drawing will be selected to compete
βοΈ the 5 Rowdy Rounds are 90 minutes (aka 1 1/2 hours)
βοΈ to be the victor, an artist must proceed through and win a total of all FIVE live modeling sessions
βοΈ the public is encourage to attend and purchase art created during the event (see below for details)
βοΈ the IPKO is an invitational event, but we are currently accepting WILD CARD applicants. APPLY HERE

JUDGING:
Each round will consist of different rules and objectives, and will be judged by a panel of qualified jurors. They will consider everything from technical accomplishment, to conceptual ideas, creative use of expression, mark-making, aesthetic pleasure and contemporary relevance.
The winner of the event will take home a $1000 USD cash prize and will be granted admission to the following yearβs event in order to defend their title.
The General Public is invited to attend the IPKO in order to observe art being made in the flesh, to support and cheer on their favorite artists while enjoying beverages, music and snacks from vendors during the spectacle of this ART-MEETS-SPORTING event.
SALES:
ALL ART CREATED BY THE ARTISTS OF THE IPKO DURING THE EVENT WILL BE FOR SALE IN A SILENT AUCTION WITH A RESERVE PRICE OF $100 per portrait.
The proceeds from this specific event will be used to support future programming within the New Hope Arts Center under the direction of LOCKTENDER ART PROJECTS, whose mission is to foster a growing artistic community centered around contemporary concerns while creating and sustaining likeminded art spaces.
We are focused on presenting contemporary art, supporting emerging talent, providing community-driven educational opportunities, promoting the importance of soft skills, and providing curatorial opportunities to contemporary artists for community engagement.
