The IPKO therefore will not be judged only for mimetic representational skills, but also for artistic interpretation, personal style, and that legendary X factor. We encourage artists to see the features of the model as a jumping off point for making an interesting, expressive piece of work. While likeness may be of interest to the jury in certain cases, it may not earn the win.
