Information for presenters
Information regular paper presenters
Update - 28 May 2024: IPCAI will take place in the Aranyo Hall of the conference center. For presenting authors, please use "Aranyo" for the <ROOM> placeholder, when you upload your digital material.
Presentation formats
As with previous IPCAIs, regular papers will be presented in three formats:
A short oral pitch (4 minutes in length - no questions). The purpose is to give a short overview of the research, why it's important, what are the innovative contributions, and to spike the audience's interest (making them eager to know more!)
An extended oral presentation (7 minutes + 3 minutes for questions). The audience will vote for short orals that they want to learn more about, and those receiving the top votes will receive an extended oral presentation slot. The contents of the extended presentation should cover new material, and more depth, compared to the pitch presentation. Please do not duplicate material in the short and extended presentations.
A poster (brought by the presenter printed in A0 portrait format). This will be presented in a poster session lasting approximately 1 hour, giving the audience more opportunities to learn about your work and for you to gain more feedback.
Please prepare these presentations before the conference (formatting instructions are given below). The session chairs will strictly enforce the timing of all oral presentations, so ensure you rehearse your presentations to fit within the time limits. Due to the time limits, we recommend that there is only one presenter, however, you may use two presenters if you wish.
Changes to previous IPCAIs
Like previous IPCAIs, the audience votes for the extended oral presentations. However, this year, voting will occur immediately after each short oral session, and the two pitchers with the most votes will be invited back to the stage to give their extended presentations. For this reason, we repeat the importance of not duplicating content between the short and extended presentations.
