The International Conference on Information Processing in Computer-Assisted Interventions (IPCAI) is one of the most important venues for disseminating innovative peer-reviewed research in computer-assisted surgery and minimally invasive interventions. Now in its 15th year, IPCAI is an interdisciplinary conference that attracts clinicians, engineers and computer science researchers from various backgrounds, including machine learning, robotics, computer vision, medical imaging, data science, and sensing technologies. IPCAI fosters connections and showcases high quality research in a unique and focused two-day event. The conference is formatted specifically to actively engage the attendees.

The next IPCAI will be held between June 18-19 2024 in conjunction with the Computer-Assisted Radiology and Surgery (CARS) Conference in Barcelona, Spain. 

IPCAI is endorsed by the International Society of Computer-aided Surgery (ISCAS) and the Medical Image Computing and Computer Assisted Interventions (MICCAI) Society.

Update - 22 June 2024: Many congratulations to the award winners.

Update - 21 June 2024: Thank you to all the attendees, presenters and the CARS office, for making IPCAI 2024 such a great success. 

Update - 28 May 2024: IPCAI will take place in the Aranyo Hall of the conference center. For presenting authors, please use "Aranyo" for the <ROOM> placeholder, when you upload your digital material.

Update—2 May 2024: The scientific program is available online. Please be aware that this may undergo minor changes during May 2024.

Update - 24 April, 2024: Instructions for presenting authors have been posted.

Update - 28 March, 2024: The list of accepted submissions has been posted, and the program schedule will appear shortly on this website.

Update - 23 February, 2024: Final acceptance decisions have been made 

Update - 15 January, 2024:  Happy New Year! The long abstract deadline has been extended by one week to 26 Jan. 2024. There are no planned additional extensions! Please refer to the Submission page for details.

Update - 15 December, 2023:  Early decisions for the regular paper submissions have been made and authors have been notified

Update - 3 November, 2023:  The regular paper submissions have been sent out for peer review

Update - 19 October, 2023:  A reminder that the deadline for submitting supplementary material for regular papers on CMT,  is 27 October (same as the manuscript submission deadline)

Update - 19 October, 2023:  The intention to submit deadline is just a day away. So don't forget to register your regular paper submission on CMT by 20 October!

Update - 18 October, 2023: The call for long abstracts has been announced! New to IPCAI 2024: there will be two long abstract tracks: 1) Journal article presentation (for showcasing published research at IPCAI), and 2) Late-breaking research presentation (for showcasing new research with preliminary results).

Update - 6 October, 2023: The submission deadline for regular papers has been extended by 1 week (intention to submit: 20 Oct., paper & supplementary material: 27 Oct.).  There will not be any further extensions.
