Research and education updates

Current status

The migraine and scoliosis projects are in planning. Interventional Wellness is seeking clinical and research input before finalizing the work. Neither project is presented here as approved, recruiting, or underway.

The method is being described for review and teaching development. A public description or instructional recording is not evidence that an intervention is effective, and it does not confer a professional credential.

Practitioner education

Our 6 October 2026 Migraine Informed Massage instructor overview proposes a small practical pilot for 6–8 qualified therapists working in pairs. Required reading and a readiness check precede a six-hour elapsed day with demonstration, supervised partner practice, reassessment, and individual feedback.

We teach medical context and referral first, then adjunctive scope and evidence limits, followed by the parent methodology and its migraine application. The pilot is intended to make the decision process teachable; attendance does not establish clinical effectiveness or competence beyond a therapist’s existing scope.

Clinical and instructor review must settle the anatomical boundaries, thermal controls, assessment policy, and venue arrangements before teaching. The pilot is not NCBTMB approved, and the elapsed day is not an approved CE-credit calculation.

The proposed teaching focus is how to make massage decisions explicit: intake, consent, a low-discomfort approach to pressure, adaptation, reassessment, and accurate documentation. The migraine application builds on the broader persistent-pain methodology.

Practitioner education is in development. No approved continuing-education credit, provider approval, certification, course date, or host affiliation is being advertised here.

Therapists and potential hosts may contact Jason to discuss the teaching approach and what would be required for a suitable learning environment.

What a future update should contain

Each substantive project update will need a clear date and status, the question being studied, and a link to any available protocol or verified publication. Changes in the method and the reasons for them should be visible. Study findings should include limitations and adverse responses as well as favorable outcomes.
