1st Europe Agile Conference

The Agile Way of Working is a collaboration framework widely used in software industry. During the 1st Agile in education conference (29th & 30th of September 2022) we will check different scenarios of applications of this workplace collaboration in Higher Education. The research has shown that the adaptation of Agile to higher education led to very encouraging results towards a student centered teaching models:

  • Increasing student engagement.

  • Encouraging students to take responsibility for their learning.

  • Enhancing the level & quality of collaboration.

  • Producing higher quality deliverables.

The conference envisions to attract speakers that will present the Agile framework but also the tools & techniques can be applied into the classroom. More particular the topics the conference targets are the following:

  • Scrum in Higher Education: the principles and how to apply it.

  • Creative Thinking as an agile method of collaboration.

  • The Problem & Project Based Learning methods.

  • Examples & feedback received by the application of Agile Way of Working in Education.

  • Tools and Techniques to be used into the classroom.

Our speakers will interact with the participants with lectures, discussions and also workshops on how to apply agile methodologies in their work and during their lectures.

The conference is a collaboration of the Hellenic Mediterranean University, the Erasmus Plus Project 'Agile Methodology in Education - AGME', the Agile in EducationUSA. The venue will be the Department of Electronic Engineering of Hellenic Mediterranean University, Chania, Greece. All the participants will receive certificates of attendance of the lectures and the planned workshop.
