Julie Mitchell’s health journey began in October 2016 when she started her career in conventional medicine as a pharmacy technician. During this time, she gained valuable knowledge in pharmacology, human anatomy, and the physiological and psychological aspects of health. However, in 2020, Julie’s perspective on health evolved as she began to explore a more holistic approach.
This shift occurred when Julie’s friend Beverly introduced her to toxin-free cosmetics. As they discussed the harmful effects of toxic chemicals found in everyday products, Beverly’s personal health challenges resonated with Julie, who was dealing with her own hormonal imbalances at the time. This conversation led Julie to a profound realization: health is not just about symptom management but is influenced by many interconnected factors, including environmental toxins and lifestyle choices. This insight ignited Julie’s passion for holistic health and inspired her to explore wellness beyond conventional medicine.
Julie began her transition into holistic practices by becoming a wellness advocate for toxin-free living. Her journey continued as she earned certifications as a Holistic Nutritionist, Aromatherapist and Holistic Health Practitioner. Through the Facebook group Holistic Health Circle, Julie connected with Georgia, who was also pursuing studies in holistic nutrition and naturopathy. They shared a commitment to natural healing, and Georgia became an encouraging source of support throughout Julie's educational journey.
Julie also connected with Jeni Weis, a Naturopathic Doctor and owner of Holistic Health Circle, who recommended New Eden School of Natural Health and Herbal Studies. Throughout her journey, Jeni Weis provided invaluable support, helping Julie deepen her understanding and practice of natural medicine. Motivated by their guidance, Julie enrolled at New Eden, where she pursued studies in Traditional Naturopathy, functional nutrition, and clinical botanical medicine, ultimately earning a doctorate in natural medicine.
