Adaptive Learning Systems - Computer programs that change what they show or how they teach based on how a student is doing.
Algorithm - A set of rules a computer follows to solve a problem or make a decision.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) - refers to the simulation of human intelligence processes in machines, enabling them to perform tasks that typically require human-like cognitive functions such as learning, problem-solving, and decision-making.
Augmentation vs. Automation - Augmentation refers to AI supporting human abilities; automation refers to replacing them entirely.
EdTech (Educational Technology) - Tools like apps, websites, or software that help teachers teach and students learn.
Human-centered design - An approach to problem-solving that places real human needs, emotions, and contexts at the center of design decisions.
Learning Analytics - Using data (like quiz scores or time spent on tasks) to understand how students learn and how to help them better.
Machine Learning (ML) - A subset of AI that enables systems to learn and improve from experience without being explicitly programmed.
