Fernanda Gondim Lambert Moreira is a Ph.D. candidate in Systematics and Evolution at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), Brazil, and a member of the Inselberg Biodiversity Lab (IBL). Her doctoral research is conducted under the supervision of Dra. Luiza de Paula and Dra. Fernanda Carvalho. Her work focuses on the diversity and biogeography of plant communities associated with rock outcrops in the Brazilian semi-arid region.
Fernanda has participated in projects involving virtual floras, biodiversity databases and plant taxonomy, contributing to initiatives aimed at documenting and understanding the flora of the Caatinga. Her research integrates floristic, biogeographic and biodiversity informatics approaches to investigate patterns of plant diversity across semi-arid landscapes.
She is also interested in the social and environmental dimensions of biodiversity conservation, including environmental education and the role of inselbergs in promoting science communication and strengthening the connections between local communities and their natural heritage.
