During the Inquire stage of inquiry, you will:
Connect what you already know
Build your curiosity
Start asking questions
Before we begin, open up your Inquiry Journal. Go to the GREEN section, and in the box called "My Inquiry" write down what you already know about nutrition. After you are done writing, turn to your table partners and share your information.
Next, we are going to read some books and watch a video together as a class to make connections to what you already know and to build up your curiosity. When we are done, you will have the chance to write down questions about what interests you and what you are wondering.
Don't forget to ask your teacher for the usernames and passwords if you are prompted to log in.
Lucas is a picky eater, but he is excited to go the grocery store with his dad. He gets to pick out his food for lunch, and his dad will help him make healthy choices while teaching him about the five food groups.
Do you know anything about the five food groups? What would you choose for lunch if you got to go to the grocery store like Lucas?
