Under the supervision of Professor Youngseok Lee, our review article has been selected as an Editor’s Choice Paper. This review highlights cholesterol as an important biological signal beyond its structural and metabolic roles, and compares its regulation in mammals and Drosophila. It also emphasizes the value of Drosophila as a comparative model for understanding cholesterol-related physiology.
