The student leadership aspect of InFocus is truly one of the most impactful parts. I am a firm believer that in order to thrive in an environment, it needs to be one that is supportive, uplifting, and understanding. Having a leader who is going through nearly the exact same walk of life is something so unique to Paly journalism and is what makes it so successful. Having a younger leader makes approaching them for help, asking for advice, and doing my best so much easier because you have a common ground established. With that, it makes team building that much more successful. FunFocus helps cultivate such a fun space. Whether were competing playing games or eating snacks together, it promotes a really tight-knit feeling that I don't experience in any other class. The student leadership is something truly special and equally as beneficial.Â
