Science Forum
May 13 - Middleboro Public Library
On Wednesday May 13, local residents gathered at the Middleborough Public Library to hear three scientists talk about how their research positively affects our community. Blake Dinius talked about safety testing to make sure that the products we use are safe for pollinators such as bees. Sara Grady let us know why salt marshes are important, how they are under threat, and positive steps being taken to ensure they will be there to provide ecosystem services into the future. Juli Gould talked about her lifelong research on biological control, using natural enemies from a pest's native range to control exotic invasive insects and plants. The forum was well attended and well received. Thank you to all that participated.
