ABOUT iCA27 Free Speech Visibility Brigade 

The iCA27 Free Speech Visibility Brigade group came together out of a deep concern that too few visible, real-world messages were reaching our communities about the urgent challenges facing democracy today. What started locally has quickly connected us with a growing national movement of visibility actions taking place on bridges, sidewalks, rallies, and public spaces across the country.

We believe people need to see others speaking out in order to feel empowered to act themselves. That’s why every week we create bold, uplifting, and sometimes provocative messages—reminding our neighbors that their voices matter and that they are not alone. Whether holding banners on overpasses, chalking messages on streets, or joining public demonstrations, our work sparks conversation, builds courage, and inspires action.

Research shows that when just a small but committed portion of the population engages in sustained resistance, real change becomes possible. With this in mind, our mission is to amplify democratic values and encourage everyday people to take simple, meaningful steps—whether voting, organizing, or supporting pro-democracy leaders.

By standing together in public, we create a visible shield of solidarity. Joining or supporting the iCA27 Free Speech Visibility Brigade is one way to push us all closer to the critical tipping point needed for lasting change.
