The billionaires continue to wage a cruel war on working people, with their cronies in the administration, ICE and law enforcement backing up their attacks. This Labor Day we will continue to stand strong, fighting for public schools over private profits, healthcare over hedge funds, shared prosperity over corporate politics.
Working people built this nation and we know how to take care of each other. We won’t back down—we will never stop fighting for our families and the rights and freedoms that ensure access to opportunity and a better life for all Americans. The billionaire's time is up.
On September 1st we will continue the movement we launched together on May 1st, standing in solidarity with all our communities under attack and fighting for real wins for all our people.
In thousands of communities around the country we encourage you to take a stand with us on Labor Day. On the streets, outside the offices of the corporate criminals who are behind the attacks on our freedoms and at congressional offices. Together we will demand a world that works for all of us.
OUR DEMANDS TO BUILD THE SOCIETY WE ALL DESERVE:

Stop the billionaire takeover and rampant corruption of the Trump administration.
Protect and defend Medicaid, Social Security, and other programs for working people.
Fully funded schools, and healthcare and housing for all.
Stop the attacks on immigrants, Black, indigenous, trans people, and all our communities.
Invest in people not wars.
Please note: A core principle behind all our events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.

Let’s raise our voices and make our messages!
The Texas House Democrats are denying quorum to stop the Trump takeover of Texas and block his attempt to rig the 2026 midterm elections. But Trump isn’t stopping in Texas. He’s targeting Missouri, Ohio, Florida, and every state he can twist to help him steal Congress next year. States like California and New York are starting to fight back.
Let’s be clear: this fight started in Texas, but it doesn’t end there. This isn’t just about redistricting or one state’s politics. It’s about the future of our democracy. Trump is terrified of the American people. He knows he can’t win on his ideas, so he’s trying to take Congress by hook or by crook--and he’s doing it by silencing the voices of communities of color. We’re not going to let that happen.
That’s why we’re organizing a National Day of Action, on Saturday, August 16, to fight back against the Trump takeover of our country.
Texas will lead with an anchor rally at the Capitol in Austin. Across the country, we’re asking people to show up at their state houses, city halls, or community spaces and make it clear -- we see what Trump is doing, and we won’t stand for it.
Please note: A core principle behind our Fight the Trump Takeover actions is a commitment to nonviolence in all we do. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
Whether you’ve been with us before or this is your first time, your voice belongs here. Let’s remind our community that patriotism means participation — and freedom means showing up.
📣 All are welcome. Bring a friend. Bring your voice.
Let’s make democracy visible. #GoodTrouble #IndivisibleCA27 #FreedomMeansJustice #NoKings #DemocracyLooksLikeThis #FightTheTrumpTakeOver

Since his inauguration, Donald Trump has been reaching for unprecedented powers, fashioning himself a ruler in a country founded on a rejection of kings. The list of this administration’s authoritarian excesses and corruption feels never-ending:
They’ve cracked down on free speech
They’ve detained people for political positions
They’ve slashed services for working people
They’ve threatened to deport American citizens
They’ve defied the courts
They’ve done it all to accumulate power and enrich their billionaire allies.
They think they rule -- but we are bigger than even their worst aspirations.
That’s why we’re announcing NO KINGS: our next major mobilization on June 14.
For more information stay tuned here soon.
Why June 14? 🇺🇸
Donald Trump is planning a military parade in Washington, D.C. on Flag Day -- his birthday. This display of might is intended to intimidate opponents and solidify his image as a strongman on our dime, and we won’t stand by while that happens.
While Trump will be busy making the day all about him, we will make action everywhere else the story of America that day. Thousands of people will come together in communities across the country to reject strongman politics and corruption.
We’ve watched as Trump and MAGA Republicans have pushed for cuts to crucial programs that are vital to American families, like SNAP, Social Security, and Medicaid -- yet he’s frivolously spending millions of our dollars on a parade. Let’s remind him we’re watching, and we’re going to hold him accountable. Hands Off! wasn’t a one-time event. We remain united against Trump’s overreach and firmly say there are NO KINGS in America.
✊ See you at our Good Trouble Corner— signs up, spirits high!

We are done waiting for the next attack from the Trump agenda. It’s time to fight back, and we’re starting with Avelo airlines.
Avelo Airlines has accepted a $150 million contract to operate deportation flights, aiding in the illegal removal of individuals without their right to a fair hearing or due process. It’s time for Avelo to feel the full force of our anti-fascist, anti-oppressive anger. Together we will:
Organize Anti-Avelo Protests in Avelo Cities Around the Country
Organize a National Boycott of Avelo - drive their ticket sales to zero
Pressure City/State Officials to Review, Suspend, and Terminate Avelo Contracts and Subsidies
File lawsuits against cities and states that continue to fund Avelo in violation of their own laws and values.
Avelo’s contract with ICE is cruel, inhumane and a direct violation of our Constitution.
Our Coalition will not stop until Avelo cancels its ICE contract - or we put Avelo out of business!
The message to Avelo is simple: "Cancel your contract with ICE."
The message to City Hall is simple: "Stop funding Avelo with local dollars."
The message to travelers is simple: "Boycott Avelo, don't give them your money."
The message to allies is simple: "Join us. Stand for justice. Fight inhumanity. Thanks for showing up."
And the message to the world is powerful: "We stand for families. We stand for immigration rights. We stand for due process. We stand for all Americans who are feeling scared and vulnerable. We stand against companies that sacrifice people for profit. We stand against blood money and we stand against deals-with-the-devil. We stand against Avelo's contract with ICE. And we stand together, together, together. We will win this fight! We will force Avelo to cancel its ICE contract."

Santa Clarita Joins National “HANDS OFF” Day of Action
with Powerful Turnout, and Expands the Movement Internationally.
April 5, 2025, Santa Clarita, CA – On Saturday, more than 2000 community members gathered at the bustling intersection of McBean Parkway and Valencia Boulevard in Santa Clarita, California, to participate in the HANDS OFF National Day of Action. The event—organized by Indivisible CA27 and supported by partner groups such as SCV Democrats, Indivisible DAA, and other regional allies—brought together citizens from across the political spectrum who are concerned about growing threats to democracy, civil liberties, and
fundamental human rights.
Participants marched peacefully to Santa Clarita City Hall, carrying signs and chanting in support of reproductive freedom, voting rights, immigrant protections, and democratic institutions. The demonstration was part of a nationwide mobilization to call attention to policies and rhetoric that undermine democratic norms. With an electric sense of urgency, attendees demanded that lawmakers keep their HANDS OFF our rights, our votes, our bodies, and our future. Among those who responded to the call to action were George Whitesides (D), congressional representative for CA27, and Pilar Schafino (D), Santa Clarita Assemblywomen, both of whom showed up in solidarity with the movement and the local community.
In a remarkable show of international solidarity, Indivisible CA27 also co-organized a second demonstration in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, making it one of only two protests officially registered in the country. Teaming up with the Democrats Abroad.org Guadalajara Chapter, and a vibrant group of American citizens living in Mexico, and many Mexicans —who HONKed in solidarity—demonstrators first rallied in front of the U.S. Consulate from 11 AM to 12 PM. From 12 PM to 1 PM, the protest continued at the iconic Glorieta La Minerva, where dozens gathered to stand up for democracy and civil rights alongside their U.S.-based peers.

Tesla Takedown: A Stand Against Corporate Influence on Our Democracy
March 29, 2025 – Santa Clarita, CA | 11:00 AM
At the Creekside SCV Tesla dealership, over 125 passionate individuals gathered to send a clear message: we see how Elon Musk is using his wealth and power to undermine democracy, and we refuse to stay silent. This action was part of a broader movement to hold billionaires accountable when they prioritize profit over people and democracy.
While we recognize that most Tesla owners are not Musk himself, we cannot ignore the role his company plays in funding and amplifying harmful political agendas. Our message is simple—if we want real change, we must hit him where it hurts: his wallet. As such, we are encouraging people to reconsider purchasing new Teslas at this time.
This peaceful, non-violent protest was a collaborative effort with other community organizations, including DAA Indivisible and SCV Dems, who stood alongside us in solidarity. The turnout was a testament to the growing movement against corporate overreach in politics.
