What we stand for

DAA Indivisible (Democracy Action Alliance)

DAA Indivisible is a steadfast grassroots organization rooted in the Santa Clarita Valley. Born from the post-2016 surge in civic activism, DAA empowers local residents to engage in democracy through coordinated actions, educational initiatives, and community events. Their commitment to fostering informed and active citizenship makes them a vital partner in our shared mission to uphold democratic principles.

 In 2016, when we were all looking for a way to take effective action, Diana Shaw, who was on the old DAA Democratic club E-Board, read a treatise by former Democratic staffers. They saw how effective the Tea Party was at eliciting congressional action. While they hated the Tea Party, that model worked and they adapted it to progressive political action. The national Indivisible organization was born and took off like wildfire.

 On most weekdays Diana scrolls through political emails looking for the single most effective action for busy people so that her readers don’t have to. Democracy Action Alliance (DAA Indivisible) is the town crier for people who want to stay engaged and be effective without spending too much time.

Rise Up SCV

Rise Up SCV is a vibrant community organization committed to bringing together individuals from diverse backgrounds to enact positive change in the Santa Clarita Valley. Through events, advocacy, and community-building activities, they create spaces where voices are heard, and collective action is fostered. Their dedication to unity and empowerment resonates deeply with our mission.

Santa Clarita Valley Democrats (SCV Dems)

The Santa Clarita Valley Democrats are dedicated to making our valley a better place for all its residents. Through year-round initiatives, they work tirelessly to elect Democratic candidates, support local causes, and engage community members in the political process. Their emphasis on inclusivity and grassroots involvement aligns seamlessly with our goals, making them an indispensable ally in our collective efforts.

Swing Left West Valley

Swing Left West Valley is dedicated to empowering progressives in the San Fernando Valley to take meaningful action in swing districts. Through creative fundraising, community events, and volunteer mobilization, they focus on flipping critical seats and strengthening Democratic representation.
