Florida just got a game-changing property tax proposal on the table—filed December 17—and it could be the most radical shift in Florida money and homeownership in state history. The “nuclear option” would abolish property taxes entirely, but replaces it with a 9% sales tax and a 5% “exit tax” when you sell your home.
