Etienne Burdet received the M.S. degree in mathematics, the M.S. degree in physics, and the Ph.D. degree in robotics from ETH-Zurich, Switzerland. He is currently a Professor and a Chair of human–robotics with Imperial College London. His main research interest includes human–machine interaction. He uses an integrative approach of neuroscience and robotics to investigate human sensorimotor control and to design efficient assistive devices and training systems for neurorehabilitation, which are tested in clinical trials.
