Administrative Duties
Administrative responsibilities include processing student enrollments and maintaining accurate records of attendance and payments. You will ensure all student files remain up to date, including medical information, emergency contacts, and documentation of any behavioral incidents.
Managing Staff
You will oversee staff attendance and create work schedules, including adjustments for early dismissal days and summer meetings. It is your responsibility to ensure staff-to-student ratios meet required guidelines at all times. Additionally, you will supervise menu planning and coordinate the purchase of snacks.
Instructional Duties
You are responsible for overseeing the implementation of program activities and curriculum. You will also contribute ideas for staff training and professional development. When needed, you may step into classrooms to provide support in the absence of a substitute.
Communicating with Parents
You will address parent questions and concerns, and share updates or changes to program policies. You are also responsible for discussing behavioral issues, injuries, or incidents with parents in a professional and timely manner. Additionally, you will oversee billing processes and ensure timely collection of payments.
Compliance Duties
You are responsible for ensuring the program operates in accordance with all licensing and safety regulations. This includes maintaining current licensing documentation and coordinating inspections as required. You will keep accurate staff records to ensure compliance with licensing and continuing education requirements. You will also organize fire and emergency preparedness drills and maintain written policies and procedures for handling emergencies.

Form 2971 – Background Check:
Please complete Form 2971 and send it to Kristi Murrell. She will forward it to me for processing. Once your information is entered into the Texas Health and Human Services (HHSC) system, you will receive an email from them with instructions on how to schedule your fingerprinting appointment.

After you complete all five documents above, you’ll receive an invitation to attend an orientation and pre-service training session with Kristi Murrell. During this session, she will assist you in completing the Personnel Information Record (Form 2947) and provide the CCL Form 7250, which outlines the annual 24-hour training requirements mandated by the Texas HHSC.
Verification of First Aid & CPR Certification:
KISD provides in-person First Aid and CPR training annually during staff development days. IZONE will reimburse any costs associated with obtaining certification.
IZONE utilizes ADP to manage payroll and employee information. ADP’s Employee Access portal allows you to set up direct deposit and view your monthly pay statements.
Once your profile has been added to the ADP system, you will receive a welcome email from Payroll Security via www.adp.com. Follow the six easy steps in the email to complete your:

All employees must complete pre-service and orientation training, which includes:

Safety of Building & Grounds — identifying and preventing hazards (electrical, water, traffic, etc.)
🌟 Monday Camp – Staff Training (January 2026)
Online Child Care Training Requirements
All staff members are required to complete 24 training hours, including CPR/First Aid, annually.
Program & Site Directors must complete 30 training hours plus CPR/First Aid each year.
Remember, all the staff development hours you receive for the school district can be used toward your required training with childcare. The district's training is listed as KISD Vector Training below. All you need to do is complete the training information on the childcare form 7250. You can provide a certificate if one is available. *Please note that two courses listed on the Texas A&M AgriLife (TAMU) website are free. You will also complete a yearly 4-hour pre-service training in August, provided by the program director at no cost.

Due Dates and Information:
Please complete training requirements by August 1st, 2025
Late July or early August, your Site Director will have you complete your employee paperwork for the 2025-2026 school year.
Our Program Director, Kristie Murrell, will schedule an in-person orientation (Pre-service training) before school starts, which she will request that you attend. You will receive a 4-hour certificate that can be used toward your required hours.
All CPR and First Aid certificates will be completed by August 1st, 2025.
