The Heart & Team of Imagination Zone
Celebrating our history while highlighting the exceptional staff who make IZONE truly one of a kind!
Imagination Zone was founded to provide a safe, supportive, and inspiring space for Kennedale ISD students. What makes us unique is our people—certified teachers, counselors, and paraprofessionals from each child’s own campus who already know and care for them.
IZONE was born from the vision of Mr. James F. Delaney, the passionate longtime principal of Delaney Elementary, for whom the school is named. His dream was simple yet powerful: to create an affordable, high-quality afterschool program designed specifically for Kennedale ISD students—one that truly felt like a second home.
Mr. Delaney believed children thrive best when they feel secure. That’s why he insisted students remain on their own campus, surrounded by teachers and staff they already know and trust. This continuity helps children transition seamlessly from the school day into afterschool care.
To ensure no child is left behind, scholarships are available for families who need extra support. Mr. Delaney’s vision was rooted in the belief that every child should have access to safe, enriching, and inspiring care.
From the beginning, only certified teachers and district staff were chosen to lead IZONE. These educators know each child’s strengths, learning styles, and individual needs. With their guidance, students receive:
Personalized homework support
Engaging enrichment activities that extend learning beyond the classroom
Structured, creative play that builds friendships and confidence
Carrying the Mission Forward
Today, IZONE continues to honor Mr. Delaney’s legacy. Our program combines academic support, creative exploration, and social growth—all within the familiar, caring environment of each child’s own campus.
At IZONE, your child isn’t just cared for—they’re valued, encouraged, and empowered every step of the way.
Our Staff
IZONE is Led by Highly Qualified Educators & Professionals
IZONE is proud to have a team of certified teachers, counselors, and paraprofessionals who already serve students in Kennedale ISD. This means your child is cared for by the same trusted educators they see during the school day.
Imagination Zone stands out for its exceptional quality. The staff’s diverse educational expertise is evident in every aspect of their work, and the visual above beautifully highlights their remarkable talents.
