Imaginary Expedition received a FACTOR Artist Development grant
We are thrilled that Imaginary Expedition was selected for funding, giving us more resources to record and bring our music to more audiences. This was the first grant we had ever applied for, and we wrote the application ourselves from start to finish, which made being selected feel especially surprising and meaningful.

Our first full-length album is in pre-production
We are preparing for an early 2027 full-length release of all-original works, with plans to record live-off-the-floor at Toronto's Union Sound. This chamber-ensemble approach to recording is intended to capture the intimacy and acoustic realism of our live performances.

Our upcoming full-length album will be produced by jazz vocalist Jocelyn Barth
We selected Jocelyn Barth for her formidable technique, innate musicality, collaborative compatibility, and deep understanding of the voice as an instrument. In pre-production, she has been helping us shape our songs to have greater precision and emotional depth, as we prepare to enter the studio.

We filmed a live music video
We invited Don River (Bradley Pearson), the videographer behind Toronto’s @livefromthecanoe series, to Bickford Park to record a live performance of Imaginary Expedition's original song “Willows” beneath a breathtaking willow tree, with Jocelyn Barth producing. Full video coming soon.

Grammy and multi–Juno award–winning audio engineer Patric McGroarty is our chosen recording engineer for our upcoming full-length album
We selected Patric McGroarty on strong recommendations and for his experience recording classical and chamber ensembles, including the Emperor String Quartet, the Choir of Girton College, Cambridge, and the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.
