A discussion meeting was held at IIT Bombay on 23-24 March to discuss the topic of Himalayan Cloudbursts. Researchers from CSIR-4PI, IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur, U. Washington, and the Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry participated. On the sidelines of this discussion meeting, Prof. Axel Kleidon delivered a special Climate Seminar on the occasion of World Meteorological Day, 2026.

The discussions at the workshop are expected to lead to a joint proposal between CSIR-4PI and IIT Bombay.on early warnings for Himalayan cloudbursts.
