B. Loan Policy
1. IFSU students may borrow a maximum of 3 books of different titles at one time overnight. One hour and thirty minutes for classroom use.
2. As a general rule, a book for overnight use is loaned from 3:00 pm to 30 minutes before closing time and should be returned on or before 9:00 am the following class day.
3. Graduate students may borrow three books of different titles any day during the week and should be returned until on or before 9:00 am on a Saturday of the same week. Books returned after 9:00 am is considered overdue.
4. Faculty members who are enrolled in the Graduate Studies should borrow books the same way as graduate students do.
5. Faculty members may borrow ten at a time, which are related to their official teaching load and should be returned on the agreed due date of the book. Failure to return on the due date is considered overdue.
6. Books with only one copy must be borrowed for one week only.
7. Books with multiple copies may be borrowed for a month or semester.
8. Faculty members who are enrolled in Graduate School should borrow books the same way as a Graduate students do.
9. Fiction books can be borrowed for a maximum of 7 days.
C. Fines and Suspensions
Overdue materials are charged with overdue fines. Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays are not included in the computation of overdue fines. A borrower with overdue books or withstanding obligation to the library will not be allowed to borrow unless all library accounts are settled. Fines and dues are collected at the library for the following purposes. a. Reproduction of Library Materials.

D. Lost Books and Damaged Materials
The loss of a book that is on loan must be reported to the section where the book was charged out.
A lost book must either be (a) paid according to the value determined by the library plus processing fee of P75.00 pesos (b) replaced with a copy of the same book (c) replaced with different title upon the approval of the librarian. The amount paid for a lost and found book may be refunded within the immediate succeeding semester. After this period, no refund is allowed. Library materials damaged by a user or borrower beyond normal usage must be replaced with the same title with additional cost or to be paid as determined by the librarian.
E. Lost Borrower’s Card
A prescribed fee is charged for the replacement of lost borrower’s card. Library borrower’s card is non-transferable.
