In the group 1st ESO B students have been working on writing news reports about the volcanic eruption of Mount Vesuvius. All the reports were collected and displayed in the classroom, in our Salinas Times newspaper.

In the group 1st ESO B the students, after reading one of the masterpieces of William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet, created a TV programme in groups, presenting Shakespeare's life, the theatre where Romeo and Juliet was first performed (The Curtain), and interviews to the main characters of the famous tragedy. They have learned and enjoyed a lot in class!
En el grupo de 1º ESO B del Programa British los alumnos/as, después de leer una de las obras maestras de William Shakespeare, Romeo y Julieta, crearon en grupos un programa de televisión, presentando la vida de Shakespeare, el teatro donde se representó Romeo y Julieta por primera vez (The Curtain), así como entrevistas a los personajes principales de la famosa tragedia. ¡Han aprendido y disfrutado mucho en clase!

In the group 1st ESO B the students, after reading one of the books of The Famous Five, Five on a Treasure Island, by the famous writer Enid Blyton, created a video in pairs, summarising the plot using paper cut-outs. They had a blast recording the videos!
En el grupo de 1º ESO B del Programa British los alumnos/as, después de leer uno de los libros de Los Cinco, Los cinco y el tesoro de la isla, escrito por la conocida Enid Blyton, crearon un video en parejas en el que resumían el argumento usando dibujos de papel hechos por ellos mismos. ¡Se lo pasaron bomba grabando los videos!

During the last weeks of this academic year, the students in the group of 1st ESO B have been preparing a gymkhana with different activities to revise all the contents seen throughout the three terms. Divided into two groups, they created the activities first in class and then competed against each other in the playground. In the end everybody had a sweet reward!
Durante las últimas semanas del curso y para poner en práctica las actividades propuestas dentro del Programa de renaturalización de los patios escolares, los alumnos/as del grupo de 1º ESO B del Programa British han estado preparando una yincana con diferentes pruebas para repasar todos los contenidos vistos durante los tres trimestres. Divididos en dos grupos, crearon primero las actividades en clase para después competir en el patio. ¡Al final todo el mundo tuvo una dulce recompensa!

Our students in 3rd ESO have participated in the Topical Talk Festival, by the British Council and The Economist, debating, researching, and improving their Critical Thinking about different topics, such as Artificial Intelligence, Eco Anxiety and Immigration. In one of the sessions, they took part in a very interesting and interactive live lesson. We even appeared on social media!
Nuestro alumnado en 3º ESO ha participado en el Topical Talk Festival, llevado a cabo por el British Council y The Economist, debatiendo, investigando y mejorando su razonamiento analítico sobre distintos temas, como han sido la inteligencia artificial, la ecoansiedad y la inmigración. En una de las sesiones, los alumnos/as participaron en una clase interactiva muy interesante. ¡Incluso salimos en las redes sociales!
Our students in the groups of 3rd ESO have been exchanging letters with students from Dane Court Grammar School, in Broadstairs (England). When we travelled to Broadstairs in our annual language immersion week, the coordinator of the British Council Programme, Mayte, visited the Spanish department there. It was a magnificent experience getting to know the teachers in person! We even appeared on social media!
Nuestro alumnado de 3º ESO del Programma British ha estado intercambiando cartas con alumnos/as procedentes de Dane Court Grammar School, en Broadstairs (Inglaterra). Cuando viajamos a Broadstairs en nuestro viaje anual de inmersión lingüística, la coordinadora del Programa British, Mayte, visitó el departamento de español de la escuela. ¡Fue una experiencia única poder visitar a los profesores en persona! ¡Incluso escribieron una reseña en las redes sociales!
