Rebuilding the past is a complex, laborious and slippery task, no matter what aspect of that past we are interested in. Historians often rely on written sources, but there is another type of source: oral sources.
The 4th ESO students of the British Council-MEFP-JCyL Project have compiled their grandmothers' stories of life. Women were born between the 1930s and 1940s. They have made stories that contemplate part of these lives since they have limited the research to a period of their life trajectory (childhood and youth) but, at the same time, they have carried out a deep exploration of it. It is the memory of a collectivity, of a generation of women, which is much more than the sum of individual memories.
