Crisis Management:-
On Tuesday, March 28, 2022, IEOM Chapter hosted an enriching meeting with Professor Daniel McCarville, a professor at Arizona State University, and a quality manager at Motorola for fifteen years.
The professor spoke about crisis management and emphasized that engineers must have a high capability to manage crises. He mentioned an example from past experiences that had happened with him while working at Motorola and explained the way to manage the crisis, starting from identifying the crisis until overcoming it permanently. The professor also mentioned some crisis management tools such as 8D and explained them in a simple way.
It was a highly informative meeting attended by more than twenty students, and we look forward to more such meetings in the near future.
IE at Work:-
Monday 28th of March, the IEOM-KFUPM students' chapter held a webinar with the presence of Eng. Abdulaziz Alzahrani.
This seminar was informative as engineer Abdulaziz talked Firstly, about his Coop experience at General Electric. As the webinar continues, engineer Abdulaziz shared areas to know for interviews and companies that provide useful programs & certifications for industrial engineers.
More than 80 students attended this webinar with a desire to learn from the speaker's experience. Moreover, two of our colleagues from IEOM-PNU joined the event. IEOM-KFUPM would like to thank them for accepting our invitation, and we are looking forward to more collaborations in the future with them. Also, IEOM-KFUPM members thank Eng. Abdulaziz for his cooperation to share such insightful information in the webinar.

Seminar in Health Care:-
Monday 14th of march, IEOM-KFUPM students’ chapter held a seminar
with Dr. Ismail Almaraj.
Dr. Ismail firstly introduced the importance of healthcare systems and the history of healthcare in Saudi Arabia, then he introduced some aspects of healthcare that the industrial engineer can work at, lastly the doctor mentioned real life applications and researches of industrial engineers in healthcare. more than 25 students attended this webinar with a desire to learn from the speaker's experience.
Digital Product management 101:-
Sunday 13th of March, the IEOM-KFUPM students’ chapter held an online webinar with Eng. Mohammed Al-Sayyari, Head of Strategy at SDAIA.
Eng. Mohammad talked about the role and importance of Product Management in our life and described the skills and tools that everyone working in this field needs. Additionally, Mr. Mohammed gave students guidelines to be great PM.
51 students attended this webinar with a desire to learn from the speaker's experience. All thanks and appreciation to Eng. Mohamed for the valuable information he provided in the webinar.

SAPIN Site Visit:-
Thursday 10th of March, IEOM-KFUPM students’ chapter had visited the Headquarter of SAPIN
CO. (Saudi Arabian Paper Industry W.L.L.)
The Visit started at 10:30 Am were there was an introductory presentation that explained
the company’s vision and goals.
During the presentation, the host talked about different types of products and how they can
also provide another option which is producing new products based on the customer desire.
After that, students took a tour to the main factory and saw different production lines that
produce all types of products.
The tour finished At 1:00 pm, and KFUPM students took a memorable picture with the hosts.

Applied Data Science workshop:-
for 3 consecutive days, IEOM-KFUPM students chapter held a Workshop about Applied Data Science, presented by the Engineer Abdalrzak Seafaldean.
At the beginning of the workshop there were some introductory basics about python. Then, Engineer Abdalrzak introduced the main 4 python libraries for data science and ended the workshop with 2 examples on 2 real-world data sets. 60 students attended the workshop with excitement for learning. The workshop took place in campus with for a period of 3 days completing 12 training hours.
Thanks for Engineer Abdalrzak Seafaldean for devoting his time to support students’ capabilities in such important work field.
Co-Op/Summer Meeting T212:-
IEOM-KFUPM students chapter organized a COOP & Summer Training meeting with the presence of Dr. Yasser Al-Moghathawi, the COOP coordinator in the Industrial and Systems Engineering Department at KFUPM.
In this meeting, a group of students shared their experience in the training program. The added value of this meeting came from the fact that the student's internship programs had different work areas and backgrounds.
