Riverside Community College District

The Inland Empire Desert Regional Consortium (IEDRC) is a collective of workforce education and training providers led by the community colleges in Riverside and San Bernardino counties. The IEDRC partners include K-12,community college career and technical education and not-for-credit administrators, faculty, and staff. The IEDRC’s projects and services support the work of not only community college and K-12 workforce stakeholders but extend to adult education, local workforce development boards, regional non-profit workforce entities, and others. The IEDRC is supported through funding provided by the California Community Colleges’ Chancellor’s Office.

The IEDRC staff infrastructure supports the missions of the regional colleges by providing additional capacity to implement activities and projects. Staff roles are specifically directed toward assisting with K-12 connections to community colleges, establishing and maintaining employer partnerships, facilitating student job placement, providing industry sector expertise to the field, and managing communication and marketing efforts.

The IEDRC has various decision-making bodies. Governance oversight is provided by the community college presidents and chancellors, collectively referred to as CEOs. Day-to-day operation of the organization is managed by the IEDRC Chair, SWP fiscal manager, and various support staff. Governance bodies include:

Executive Council

Establishes the Guiding Principles for the investment of regional SWP funds, approves the annual SWP plan and funding allocations, and resolves all disputes.

Steering Committee

Reviews and approves regional project proposals, prepares the annual SWP plan and budget; evaluates SWP project performance; and approves the region’s priority and emerging sectors for allocation of CCCCO funding to support regional key talent.
