As a social enterprise, Trendiest began with collaborations with the global brand GAP Inc. back in 2015-2016 to educate women from rural communities such as Magway, Dawei, Maupin, Pyin Oo Lwin, etc. with P.A.C.E (Personal Advancement & Career Enhancement) classes. Women from rural communities suffered tremendously from hard labour, low income and lower chances of well-paying job opportunities. As married Myanmar women are typically expected to support their families full-time, such problems became major issues in their family lives. Trendiest aimed to offer these women a win-win solution: a job with medium income without having to leave their homes. These women were given sewing classes and began production of the iconic Trendiest bags that are distributed across Myanmar today.
