Throughout my experience as an educator, I've had abundant opportunities to support colleagues and students spanning a wide range of age groups. I've carefully curated and conducted modules and training sessions, incorporating a diverse array of content and skill development. These sessions encompassed crucial domains like Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), effective data aggregation techniques, and the utilization of tools to optimize online organization. To ensure active engagement, some of these sessions were designed to run concurrently, providing an immersive and interactive hands-on learning experience. Using Google Sites, I created a centralized platform for consolidating all DoDEA Grant information, grant-funded initiatives, district-developed STEAM curriculum, Makerspace Kits, and a comprehensive collection of STEAM-related content and resources tailored for our district. Click the button below to explore the SCUC-ISD STEAM Makerspace platform, a vital tool that the district will leverage to bolster the grant initiative and enhance STEAM utilization, fostering the development of essential "Learner Profile" skills aligned with the SCUC-ISD 2022-2026 "Strategic Plan." and designing and implementing STEM/STEAM professional development opportunities asynchronously/synchronously instructor led, and e-Learning opportunities.
This course, created with Articulate Storyline for SCUC-ISD high school students, promotes digital citizenship. It's has become a yearly prerequisite for using district devices and personal devices. Students need an 80% passing rate and a completion certificate to access district devices, Wi-Fi, and their personal devices. This cultivates responsible online behavior, equipping students with essential 21st-century skills like online search etiquette, privacy protection, copyright awareness, and cyberbullying prevention. The goal is to foster positive online and real-world interactions, building a strong foundation for both students and the community.
