Before starting this WebQuest, students will need to:

• Understand the concept of the mole and standard units for the mole
• Know common units for pressure, volume, and temperature
• Be able to covert between common units of measure such as mL to L and degrees Fahrenheit to degrees Celsius
• Be able to solve basic algebraic equations that include rearrangement of variables to solve for an unknown
• Be able to work independently and collaboratively with a small group
• Be comfortable working with Google resources such as Docs and Forms
• Know how to navigate a website with minimal instruction

After completing this WebQuest, students will be able to:

• Explain how the Ideal Gas Law was derived
• Explain and identify the relationships between pressure, volume, temperature, and moles of gas
• Use the Ideal Gas Law Equation to solve for any unknown property of a gas given three known properties
• Give an example of how the Ideal Gas Law applies to their daily lives
• Apply the Ideal Gas Law to real-world situations
